... issues and tissues with a touch of the spicy from the spirit hag ...

My husband, I must admit, doesn't actually read my blog much. It's not that he's not allowed to, I think it's more that he lives with me everyday and won't find much there he doesn't already know.

I do show him the occasional article of mine, generally one of the 'art' forum ones, if I'd like him to read it, and we tend to leave it at that.

So I've often wondered ... do other JU bloggers have partners that read their blog, perhaps on a regular basis, or even have partners that are fellow bloggers ?.

Does your partner read your blog ?... How do you feel about this, either way ?.

My wife has read my blog on occasion. I've had to email her the link twice (we have separate logins on the laptop, so she can have her links and shortcuts and I can have mine) because she deleted the email I sent to her the first time. She's passingly interested in seeing what is there right now, but she has expressed more and more interest in it lately. Between her friends who have all started web pages and myself, she wants to start getting more involved in the net. I try to keep my blog sorta clean (I cut out most swear words that I would usually say in real life), not only because my wife reads it, but also, my parents read it sometimes, too.

My husband reads my blog . . . he doesn't have the opportunity to do so every single day, but he does check in on it when he can.

Before I started my blog I had been doing a humorous "family newsletter" and mailing it to him, but I haven't done that since I started blogging. Sometimes he comments on my stuff online, but most of the time when he calls he'll tell me what he read and what he thought about it.

I think it helps keep us close and lets him know what's happening with me and the kids and how I'm feeling. He's my best friend in the world, and I don't keep things from him, so I don't feel the need to censor myself (however, because my parents, my brother, my aunt, and a few other people I know read my blogs, I do sometimes feel the need to censor myself!).

that's teriffic, texas. your blog is so 'real life', i adore that about it, and i'm sure he does, too

i think that's a wonderful way to 'keep in touch' on a very creative level, texas. and you do a great job of it, too. if my hubby was far away i'm sure he'd hang on my every blog-word ... ok, maybe not hehe !

She has a mini home-p (it's a Korean shortening of mini homepage). This weekend, I'll be teaching her how to edit pics and upload them to her site. I don't think she's too interested in a blog right now. I think once she gets the hang of posting to and editing her mini home-p, the net bug might bite her and push her to explore other ways to get out there on the net. She'll probably go the yahoo Korea blog route, though. She speaks and understands English very well, but is much more comfortable dealing with things in Korean.

Oops, missed this part. I am terrible at keeping in touch with people. I'm lazy about calling, I rarely visit (even with people that live near me), and I don't even email very much (although I am trying harder to be better about that). I confess this to people very often. I also tell them that if they want to keep in touch with me, their best bet is to check and comment on my blog. I answer comments. For me, it is a lazy, easy way to keep in touch. Impersonal, too.

No, I don't have a partner but it would be nice if you read my blogs once in a while.

Well, that's why I do a little bit of self editing. Not too much. My family knows how I am. I just try to keep my mouth (well, writing) fairly clean...

Dave reads mine.  He used to read them every day when he was in Greenland and I was in the US.  Now he's back he checks them out every once in a while.

yes chip, that would mean the end of my more ahem, creative blogs (ie: those in 'art' category hehe), too. !!!

i'm glad he does, dharma. it's nice to think of how special he must have felt reading your blogs leading up to the time he was arriving home. the whole of ju was waiting for 'lonesome' to come home to you !.

Wow, you've made my day and you are now " the center of My universe."

No, but I do self-edit a bit just in case. Also, in case immediate family members drop by (although that's less of a reason). And, more of a reason, in case certain military members drop by...

I don't have a partner, but a potential love interest was (and maybe still is?) reading my blog for a while which was incredibly off putting. I blame alcohol and infatuation for the lapse in concentration that lead me to tell him the address. Dammit!

There are a few other people who read it that I wasn't even aware knew I a had a blog. That freaked me out a lot!

It's been a while since I've been around, so how's it going mig? I hope all's well.

My wife will read the blog sometimes. Normally, if it's an important article, I'll ask her opinion and we'll talk about it.
on Sep 27, 2004
How did I miss this one? I'm the same as Suz, a love interest reads my blog. I don't know how I feel about it. Sometimes it causes a few problems, because I refuse to gold back in what I say. For the most part he likes it though, it's an insight into the things I don't tell him, and he respects that. I think he kinda likes it. Plus when it comes to writing he is my worse critic, so when he says something is good, I know for sure it is!
