... issues and tissues with a touch of the spicy from the spirit hag ...

This week, you can take 5 'things' from anywhere in the world and make them your own. They must be actual 'things' and not money or spirituality-related 'issues'. (Although you can ask for thing/s you want to on-sell).

You can have a building. You can have a person. You can even have a country if you like. Whatever you want that laws, or money, or logistics have so far made impossible, it's now yours. So, what in the world will you choose ?.

What are 'the 5 things you want from this world' ?.

To get it started, here are mine:

1/     100 acres in the Australian bush

2/     Houseboat

3/     (Tiny) private island

4/     The Hubble telescope

5/     An elephant

All are welcome, and have a great weekend everyone

1) Paris and environs. (Which I would mainly use to be able to go wherever I wanted, be it into the sewers or the hidden rooms in Notre Dame or the President's private suite or any non-public room in Versailles or wherever.)

2) one billion non-expiring frequent flyer miles. That oughta cover me and my family.

3) a set of 1927 (or thereabouts) Deusenbergs. (classic cars)

4) a castle somewhere. Maybe the one here in Minneapolis, even. Not sure. (I forget what it's called, it's over by Ridgewood and LaSalle for any Minneapolitans reading.)

5) controlling interest in Microsoft Corporation. bwahahaha!

(re: my #4, apparently it's the Van Dusen Castle, and it's on sale for a measly $3.9 million. 23,000 square feet, turrets, 7-foot-tall chandelier in the 3rd-floor ballroom, a coach house, and many other fine amenities.)

Come to think of it, I have a new five, well three actually when i realised that three is all i need for my ends. Nobody told me that you couldn't answer twice:

The UN; control of the US military (so basically the white house and the presidency); the World Bank

With these three I could probably tell the world to grow up and behave. I could fund it to accomplish these lofty and complicated goals, and if it didn't comply I could thoroughly kick its arse.
