Yay My Fave part of Friday has arrived again!!!!

1/ where do you live ?

I live in a secluded cottage in the middle of a forest, with a little river running by the side of it. I'm surrounded by trees, and it's very peaceful, no one to bother me. At the weekends I go to my lush apartmentment in the city, where I party the weekend away!

2/ what is your marital status ?

I have a loving partner, who I'm not married to, be we are in a long term relationship, he gives me the space I need, we live our own lives, but we are there for each other no matter what

3/ what type of home do you have ?

Oooops already kind of answered that, the cottage and the apartment, I don't mind where they are, we're probably looking at the states though, and as I said, cottage and apartment. Both completely different. The cottage calm and peaceful, old fashioned, with only the simple things. The apartment up todate. To suit both sides of my personality.

4/ what do you do for a living ?

I write novels. Maybe even screenplays.

5/ what is your greatest achievement ?

To have a beautiful child, and a best selling novel

1/ where do you live ? In the Bahamas. On my own private island, where it's sunny all the time, there are heaps of lush gardens and beautiful palms trees and hammocks.

2/ what is your marital status ?
I'll have a long term partner (having finally gotten sick of love affairs with models and tortured artists) who will be an artist of some description - maybe a musician - definitely no longer tortures. We will be together when possible, but our lives will be such that this can't be all the time. In this way, we will always be excited to see one another (you did say divorced from reality, right? Because I know that the normal swing of these relationships is the other way!)

3/ what type of home do you have ?
My home will be composed of many separate cabins so that the entertaining area is large and open and looks over my private beach, while my bedroom is further up the hill, up on stilts and hiding amongst the tops of the palm trees. They will be very open buildings, catching the breeze.

4/ what do you do for a living ?
I write critically aclaimed novels, and have a solo music career in my spare time.

5/ what is your greatest achievement ?
A nobel prize in Physics and a number one album.

1/ where do you live ?
I live in the suburb in a large city. This large city happens to be full of nice people though, crime-free, and the "traffic problem" has been fixed. Just a few miles in any direction are brooks, streams, and all the wilderness you could ever want. Oh, and the local airport has discovered instant travel, so that we're free to explore any other part of the world we want

2/ what is your marital status ?
I'm married to my current wife. Only, we never ever ever argue It's great!

3/ what type of home do you have ?
I live in a range style home... but with all the modern additions like DSL, etc we could ever want. My wife loves horses, so we'd have plenty of room for them to run. Oh, and plenty of "helper" to actually take care of the place.

4/ what do you do for a living ?
I'm a philosopher. I get paid to just sit around in robes (Yeah, a philosopher like in the old days) and think about the meaning of life.

5/ what is your greatest achievement ?
Everyone is jealous of the love my wife and I share.

i made this a girls vs. boys to compare our dreams ... see what you think ..

1/ ... ok, so far we have a secluded cottage for sal, a secluded island for suz, a super-secluded cabin for little_whip, a privately-owned island for poetmom, and a vineyard for kayles in the chicky department .... and a suburb for splateaux, pacific northeast for steve, toronto for suspeckted and ... well, what have we here ... looks like zoo is going to be in demand on that island. all the men want to live in the city and all the girls want to run as far as humanly possible away from all the men. except for zoo. (who by the sounds of it is going to be doing some running of his own)

2/ sal is partnered, suz is partnered, little_whip is married to her current hubby and so is poetmom, and kayles is married to her soulmate ... splateaux is married to his current wife, as is steve. zoo is married (unless the other thing happens somehow), and only suspeckted remains free from the chains of love *sigh* ... we are a romantic lot

3/ sal needs a home for each mood (fab idea !), suz has separate cabins, little_whip has a spacious private cabin, poetmom has a modest well furnished home, and kayles has a cottage (some differences are appearing ... this stuff is riveting hehe) .... for the boys we have a modern ranch for splateaux, large but comfy home for steve, mobile command unit or quaint home for suspeckted, and a big ass castle for zoo

now THAT one was trippy

4/ sal writes novels, so does suz (who also a solo musician), little_whip is an estate manager (like that one ? hehe), poetmom is an author kayles is a winemaker ! in italy ! funky ! ... for the lads, we have splateaux the philosopher, steve the comic book store mogul, suspeckted my hero and zoo the zookeeper. (wow. what a dinner table THAT would be) ... let’s do it one day

5/ sal is “author mummy sal”, suz is a nobel peace prize winning author who records number one hits in her spare time, little_whip is a well-travelled lady of leisure, poetmom is on the bestseller lists, and kayles is happy at home ... which is a wonderful thing to wish for .... and here are the boys .. hmmm ... splateaux has had a long and happy marriage that inspires others, steve is a self-made man, suspeckted has overcome his fear of someone seeing his pee-pee, and zoo has survived the infer-mation age long enough to get old

i have not laughed this hard in ages. the ju chicky island sounds like a plan, girls ... bring those hula skirts

have a good laugh and a great weekend everyone

Oh no! How am I going to find my soul mate with that!!!!
on Jun 25, 2004

Well if this is totally divorced from reality, then...

1. Next to the indoor beach of a self-efficient space colony orbiting Earth, so If I look out one window I see a beach and out another I see space.

2.Married to the perfect woman or at least my concept of her.

3.Well since I went with a space colony it would be a home with everything that I would need, a technologically advanced, ergonomic to all my possible needs and wants as a person.  Complete with a personal theater, a computer that I can speak to that controls the various functions within the house.

4.I would live like Leonardo Da Vinci, attempting to discover anything that is still a mystery in that time and getting paid for any discoveries I find...

5.figuring out a system to govern all mankind that would bring peace...I know that sounds like a Miss America answer but that would make my name be remembered for as long as their is peace...

on Jun 25, 2004
Oh, this looks like a fun one!
in *my* dreams ...

1/ I want to live right where I am, EXCEPT!! I want to change the climate. I want nine months of summer and three months of winter instead of the other way around. (We had a frost warning this week...it's June....FROST???? WTF...)

2/ I am married to the same guy, although we wouldn't HAVE to be married. We kinda married cause we *had* to (no, not cause of a baby, we had already had the baby, but for other inane reasons) But I would still be with the same guy.

3/ Same home, just all the remodeling and adding on would be done!!!

4/ Ooh, tough one. I'm a bookkeeper now, and I like it sometimes. But I'm in training for computer tech support and I like that sometimes too. I guess I'd want a job like the one I have, but I want to be paid more! Or at least have regular consistent raises, something that I can count on as long as I continue to do my job well.

5/ My greatest achievement? Another tough one...Oh! I got it. In my wildest dreams my greatest achievement would be my bachelor's degree. Which I don't have and don't have any plans to get....yet...

Thanks, this was a great Friday Five!

on Jun 25, 2004
I really like this Friday Five thingy... I might try to do a Tuesday Two thing or something next week. I'd REALLY like to do one right now, but if I did it on another day, our dreaming and such could be a little more spread out during the week.

Oh... how about a Monday Million? Maybe a litlle too much typing there...
