i have a rather burning question for the big fake boob loving males of the world ... what exactly is it about big fake boobs that you like ?.

is it the fact that a woman can exist regardless of this modern society who can still be made to feel shitty enough about herself to allow her body to be mutilated to please a man ?

is it the fact that a woman dumb enough to do that will also be likely to be dumb enough to let you screw her in every way ?

maybe it's the way those melons satisfy your need to have some big things visible to counteract other less obvious small things ?

could it be the way she chases her dreams by getting the big fake boobs that were so important to her ?

perhaps you admire her courage for taking a foreign and unstable substance into her body during an unnecessary major operation ?

it may even be the way she's so carefree about life that she doesn't even mind taking her chances with a 'modification' that blocks effective breast cancer screening ?

could it be the way it feels to know she loves you so much that she doesn't even mind that you're a shallow jerk who will dump her as soon as she hits 27 ?

gee. it might even come down to how you chose to live for the way things look rather than the way they feel ?

i just can't decide. i mean, there is just so much to admire about these women, isn't there ?.

There is so much to pity and, counter-intuitively, so very little to look at.

mig: interesting article. I've always wondered if fake breasts feel different than real breasts (my husband's platoon sgt.'s wife has fake ones, but I'm sure as heck not going to grab onto them to find out!). I also wonder if preference as far as breast size, shape, etc. is different from guy to guy. I happen to have a large chest but I think God only gave it to me as an apology for the "child-bearing" hips he stuck me with! Great post, mig. Your stuff always makes me think.

Um - not to be nitpicky - but none of those are evasive procedures -- You don't go under the knife when you put make up perfume or wear clothes in the current style. You're not putting potentially dangerous chemicals INTO your body -- there are many horror stories about plastic surgery -- there aren't that many about makeup hair dye or body waxing -- NOTE I said that MANY - not there weren't any at all.

Personally I can't see the attraction - Big breasts get in the way -- I'm a 10D -(no I'm not modest at all once you have a baby you'll lose all inhibitions and tell everyone everything)- when my milk came in after Elana was born I ballooned to like Triple E (okay so I have no idea but nothing fit me and I had 14D maternity bras) --They're really uncomfortable - it's bad enough trying to cross your arms and do stuff with normal size breasts let alone Big Fake Boobs (or tender milk filled ones - eww)

Plus they never look natural - you can almost always tell when a woman has implants because they're bigger then what your natural body weight would create (they're not in proportion)-- ie Barbie pre the breast reduction hip (maker biggerer) Alot of the Big Fake Boobs wouldn't look so bad if they didn't go to the extreme -- ie Anna Nicole Smith -- have you seen pictures of her pre surgery -- She was actually quite a pretty woman.

Does this make ANY sense?

I try!

I feel I should clarify however, while my preference would be for a B-cup to cuddle up to at night (... they really do make great pillows!), I really am open to ANY size, shape or construction! I am not a fussy man, though I do have a preference for a smaller nipple as opposed to the larger size nipple, commonly found on larger breasts!

Just in case anyone was wondering...

So women should go naked? Or wear potato sack dresses - have natural (grey for some) coloured hair and not wear makeup -- and never shave their legs or underarms - let alone eye-brows, bikini line etc

Oh and not to mention we should only shower in water but no soap because that's perfumed and we wouldn't want to be vain -- we should only use no scented deoderant -- heck why use deoderant at all - we've let ourselves go that much why bother with BO

I've always wondered if fake breasts feel different than real breasts

all the implant-enhanced breasts with which i have umm first-hand experience have had a much different feel than natural breasts.  i suppose it's possible there are implants far superior to any ive encountered, but im skepical.  augmented breasts are, in my opinion, far inferior visually (perhaps there is something to the 'they make clothes fit better' thing i've heard some women advocate; but that requires no actual mammary tissue at all--and besides, if that were the point, there are always mannequins).  when i say inferior, i mean that in every instance. real breasts--without qualification--are never less than beautiful.

altering natural healthy breasts for any reason--but especially for the sake of vanity and/or catering to another's preference--may be legal, but is senseless to the point of criminality.  ive tried my best to discourage my female friends from pursuing it (not always successfully, dammit).

im not going to declare a preference here--at least as far as size, shape, etc.; responsive (and im not gonna flesh that out either) works perfectly well for me.

However, I do think women should wear makeup, wax body hair and eyebrows, and possibly dye hair and augment their breasts.

You can think it and like it. No ones going to stop you and there are going to be many men who will want you for it.

I don't much like fake breasts in that they tell me more about the women than she would care to admit, it makes a flaw (that while kept internal is healthy and necessary for self-improvement) so obvious as to make it vulgar and beyond the attractive capabilities of mild self-doubt and insecurity. If you have to go that far to cure yourself of a diminuitive self-perception, than the surgeons knife will never cut deep enough.

I don't like people who don't care for themselves at all as it often runs counter to the needs of health and sociability, but i don't much care for people who turn themselves inside out on a daily basis, at the beck and call of fear. A women who wears excessive make-up, augments their natural endowments or otherwise attempts to conceal what they look like, reveal more than they do when they just get up. When you look in the mirror and think you need to be something else other than what you are, it is usually the hallmark of a soul that cannot bear to look at itself.

None of this is right. Just the words of a man who knows what he likes.

i really should quote your entire comment cuz its so fuckin dead on.  these two points, specifically, seem to me particularly worthy of the special emphasis of repetition.

HA! I'm using your special emphasis of repetition on your comment about special emphasis of repetition - How post-modern is THAT! Italo Calvino, eat your heart out (then again knowing him, he's probably already attempted it to see if would merely return to its orginal position).

thanks for your comments everyone. i'd like to address them all individually in a short while (as i do !), but i just wanted to clarify the health issue above before i do so. breast implants of any kind compromise the mammography process, regardless of the modernity of the implants, of their placement:

That only happened with the old way that they did implants. the new way puts the implant behind the muscle so that the original tissue can still be scanned as normal.

Many plastic surgeons prefer to place the implant under the chest wall muscle to separate the breast tissue from the newly inserted implant. This position may give the breast a more natural appearance, reduce the chances of capsular contracture (tightening of the scar around the implant), and help make mammograms easier to read (special mammography views are required for breasts with implants).

from breast health: Link

thanks for bringing this up, karma, as there is a difference in modern implants, although sadly not enough to make standard mammography work. and it terrifes me that many women may not know this.
