... it is. just trust me.
The world is round. I know this because it is 4pm on Thursday afternoon. Yes, I know it's not really. But it is. For me, anyway.
Me. Adrift in a cultural wasteland in which a small problem called 'distance' renders my 'real time' participation on JU near impossible. Many's the morning I have woken to find a fabulous party going on in my comments that I wasn't invited to !. I post. I sit. I wait. I fall asleep (sometimes even in that order).
I wake to find that a stimulating and relevant conversation has occurred in my blog ...
As I frantically type responses to the insightful and witty exchange, I very much have the feeling of the person who got the dates mixed up and arrived for a party on Saturday that was held on Friday. It's all over. Everyone has long finished partying and passed out on their respective pillows before I even arrive !.
I have tried on several occasions, whilst near rabid with sleeplessness, to actually 'catch' people I 'know' posting in the forums and 'talk' to them. On several occasions I have managed to ambush a few unsuspecting bloggers with most satisfying results !.
But these occasions are sadly few and far between. And unfortunately they also fail to showcase my desire for interaction by way of my total lack of cognitive capacity at 4am. Oh, woe is me !.
So, next time you're wondering why I never seem to know what's going on, there you have it. My JU catch-up involves a mad daily scramble to tack onto the end of anything 'still alive', plus a huge 'wade though' to find the things I missed after I fell asleep with my face in my keyboard. Again.
So, until Dharma succeeds in her plan to alter world time (and if anybody can do it, it's Dharma !), have some sympathy for a girl, would you please ?. The very least you could do is stay up once in a while and keep me company.
