It all started with my saying "
dingo".
Then chiprj said the word "
dingo" made him laugh. So of course I said it again !.
He
then reminded me that I had recently laughed at the word "
gopher" in his blog. Which I did.
(Which I will now do again ...
gopher ... hehe ... go 'fer this ... go 'fer that ... wanna go 'fer a swim. bwaaaa haaaaaa.).
Then Texas Wahine admitted that the word "
dingo" made her laugh too. (I liked this, so I said it one more time !).
Then historyishere said "a dingo ate your baby" (yes, that was the best Seinfeld double sub-reference ever, I agree).
Then spc nobody special reminded us that gophers were much funnier dead, and that the live ones were 'extreme suckage'. Yay !!!.
Ok, so
then ssg geezer realises that historyishere nabbed the best comeback line with his Lindy Chamberlain/Seinfeld clever combo comment. But all is not lost, because ...
Then ssg geezer added "
badgers".
Badgers !. Too funny.
Then Texas Wahine stated her dislike of being badgered by badgers, to which I can fully relate !.
Which leads me to our current 'subject'.
The beaver !!!.
(Funnier to me than "
platypus", but I expect to be the minority there).
It's beaver fever !!!!.Yes, regressing a few (dozen ?) years and laughing at silly animal names is good for the soul. Or something. And anyway,
they can't defend themselves !!!
Is there a human-imposed animal monicker that really 'gets
your goat' ? ... have we whacked another laughable label on an otherwise unamusing creature ? ... come hit us with your "
beaver" ! ... or your "
tsetse fly", or your "
yellow breasted tit" ... or just laugh at ours, if you like.
