It's scary, but it's true. Sleep-blogging is on the rise. See for yourself ...

Next, people will be sleep blogging! I think I may actually already do that!

sal, i think i did that last night with the 'friday five'

Sleep-blogging... a much less exciting form of intimacy.....

Reply By: mignuna

true, historyishere. in sleep blogging versus sleep bonking, sleep blogging is the clear winner only in the safety stakes

ssshhhh!!!!  Next people will be saying "I didn't mean to attack you, I was sleep blogging!"

*falls off chair and honks with laughter*

karma, don't even say it !

i can almost read it now ...

blogger 1: "your blog sucks, and you are a moron"

blogger 2: "your blog also sucks, and you are a much bigger moron than i am"

blogger 1: " you are the vilest person alive. i am now flying over to where you live to eat your family (including your goldfish and your grandmother)"

blogger 2: *blacklists blogger

*entire community rallies in rage over the threatened cannibalisation of blogger 1's dear old nanna*

blogger 1: writes blog entitled "i am not really going to eat your nanna. i am a vegetarian, plus i was asleep when i wrote that "

noooooooooooooooooooo

you laugh now, but it could happen....

Reply By: historyishere

Who's to say it already hasn't....

Reply By: mignuna

karma, you may have to introduce guidelines for 'sleep blogging' then. but they'll need to include a disclaimer in case they lead to the next step ... sleep flaming !!!

Reply By: historyishere

When I was writing my retrospective post, I read a lot of my old posts and trust me... I couldn't remember writing more than a few of them, so I think I may have been asleep myself.

Reply By: mignuna

oh no, historyishere ! you have it too ! sleep blogging ! i wonder who else is affected ?

Reply By: historyishere

I knew I had it when I read a post I wrote about some poor guy that had parked at a light next to a truck hauling liquid manure... and he just happened to roll his window down right before the tank burst...... and no one needed to read that....

sounds like a bad case, historyishere. almost as bad as mine !

there must be others who suffer this terrible affliction ?

Ladies and gentlemen, have YOU written a blog you don’t recognise ?. Could YOU be suffering from this crippling disorder ?. There is no known cure, but chaining yourself to your bed has been known to help, as has not falling asleep in front of your computer.

Be alert !. Blogging and sleeping don’t mix !.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

And, as a word of caution, if you should come across a sleep blogger, you should never wake them. It could be very dangerous. Or, at least, less humorous... let them sleep blog, so everyone can laugh later!

Nope, never had that happen to me, although there are a few blogs of mine just begging for me to plead temporary insanity.

blogger 1: writes blog entitled "i am not really going to eat your nanna.

I read that as "eat your nanna out". I need help. Preferably professional. And lots of it.

Hmm, I'm an exception: I write blogs fully awake; it's the bloggers that I put to sleep.

island gurl, perhaps they were 'sleep comments' ?

chip, i will heed your advice. the more people that behave foolishly, the less i get noticed for my own silly blogging posts !

macky pet, so much about that scares me that i scarcely know where to start. (but if i get a referral for 'eat your nanna out' i will be less than happy !

Ha did I stumble on something that is actually happening. I'm sure when I'm awake I'll be able to find articles I wrote while asleep. Wait if I'm not awake now...does that mean...shock, horror....I am sleep commenting, hehe!

Too funny....
on Nov 04, 2004
I think it's possible if you don't sleep for 48 hours, you will then start doing things unknowingly or without full consciousness. You may actually blog in this state and later not recognise what you were writing. If I have the time, I will try this...
