This will make no sense to anyone who isn't Australian, as this is a newish band that you've probably never heard of. So sorry. You can run off now if you want to !. (I won't mind. Just this once, though !).

Thirsty Merc are funky, and several Australian JoeUsers (myself included) have a friend (Sean, back right in pic) who has joined the band. Suz (Floozie) even went to school with him !. Okay, so, like I said, this may only have perve value for most of you, but for Suz and myself, it's a nice moment for us to see a such a talented and genuinely nice guy do so well.

They've already sold out Sydneys' Hordern Pavilion for their upcoming show  on November 21, and the national tour is starting this month. Check out their website,  Link and remember ... Go Sean Beaver, go !

MASSIVE MISCOMMUNICATION... NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry mig, I didn't go to school with him - I am friends with someone who knows him from The Shire. I've met him a couple of times when I've been with her, but he wouldn't have any idea who I am!

Good to see he's going so well though. Are Midnight Swim still gigging?

hehe never mind, suz. i'm sure he'd remember you. (how on earth could he forget you, precious ?). anyway, that's near enough !. sorry if i embarrassed you !.

and midnight swim played last weekend, so i guess sean is just very busy. thirsty merc are touring nationally but missing coffs harbour, so we were thinking of having a weekend in either newcastle or brisbane to see them. (btw, i feel like a total wanker typing stuff like this !)

Don't be foolish. It's cool! But cool in the 'I'll pretend I don't actually care because any sign of enthusiasm would be totally UNcool' kinda musician way

Oooh - roadtrip for you! I'm jealous! I've heard of Thirsty Merc but never heard any of their stuff - I shall have to do an internet search!

And you're so right - it is nice to see a genuinely nice person do so well - especially in an industry that is usually so horrible.
